The Mary South is being commissioned following a complete restoration to its Bristol condition by Kingfisher Marine Ltd., Clinton CT. Now taking bookings starting May 15, 2019.
Mary South is a Phil Bolger design 40 foot mini-expedition trawler built in 1990 by Melville Traber in Dayville Connecticut.
The Mary South was formerly named the Bossanova and is the trawler written about in the travels of Mary South along the East Cost of the United States in her book The Cure for Anything is Salt Water: How I Threw My Life Overboard and Found Happiness at Sea. The Bossanova was formerly named Shady Lady by the original builder Mel Traber.
